Healing Your Wounded Soul

A wounded spirit might be a result of several things, however for many times, it is a result of experiencing some sort of tragedy, violation, hurt or disappointment. Healing a wounded spirit takes resilience on your side and knowing that the problem doesn't have that permanent being. Whatever has happened to you would be the exact thing that helps you with the way to be strong and overcome the hurt.

What to do

Identify the hurt and what caused it.
You might need to return to your past and investigate old memories that you will rather not cope with. Open up to someone who you trust to enable them to assist you in getting over the emotions that you'll start to feel yet again.

Seek the guidance of the trusted friend, counselor or pastor if you feel it's going to be excessive to complete all on your own. Discuss the hurt in greater detail using your friend, counselor or pastor. Stop if you believe that it is a lot to manage.

Glance at the hurt and allow it to go pierce your heart. If you do not try this, you will then be back in places you started. It's OK to cry because otherwise everything that bottled-up emotion will still only wound you more. Use a pity party--feel sorry for yourself--but defeat it soon.

Don't blame yourself for what had happened. Assume responsibility for your part you played, and put aside the blame. Work with your self-esteem and think that you didn't deserve any situation that happened. You're simply a party as to what happened, however you weren't the main cause.

Find something fulfilling of doing that will assist you to use that same experience to be aware of and help others. Like for example if you are a rape victime, locate an organization which enables rape victims to deal and overcome their situation at one among their meetings. Volunteer like a regular speaker and perhaps take someone through your wing to supply encouragement and support. Soul Healing is a part of most Hawaii healing now and will bring about total wellness.
